Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an MSK Health Administrator to support the Rehab and Pelvic Health teams. You will coordinate patient pathways, manage reception duties, and liaise with clinicians to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the NHS setting. Right-to-work considerations apply; sponsorship may be limited.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end administration of patient pathways from referral to discharge.
  • Provide high quality reception duties, greet patients, and respond to queries at the reception desk.
  • Coordinate clinic appointments, cancellations, and rebooking, and communicate with patients.
  • Liaise with clinicians and healthcare professionals to support smooth service delivery.
  • Provide information and support to patients regarding appointments and services.
  • Handle patient queries via telephone, email and face-to-face contact professionally.
  • Act as first point of contact for patient queries and concerns.
  • Update electronic records accurately and maintain data confidentiality.
  • Contribute to improvement of MSK administrative processes.
  • Ensure accurate data input using patient administration systems such as SystmOne.
  • Work with the MSK clinical team to ensure documentation is processed promptly.
  • Monitor incoming emails, referrals and triage outcomes, escalate issues when needed.
  • Support service audits, data collection and performance reporting.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of MSK administrative processes.
  • Ensure accurate data input using patient administration systems such as SystmOne.
  • Work closely with the MSK clinical team to ensure all documentation and correspondence are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor and action incoming emails, referrals and triage outcomes, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support service audits, data collection, and performance reporting as required.
