Job summary

Chubb Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Administrator to support the day-to-day running of the Fire or Security Install/Service departments at our Blackburn office.

You will handle transactions, timesheets, PPE orders, maintenance lists, SLA monitoring, and customer file management while delivering a high level of service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative or customer service role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Log transactions accurately and highlight outstanding requirements.
  • Input engineer timesheet information weekly.
  • Order uniforms and PPE for Engineers.
  • Assist with production of maintenance lists and progress reports.
  • Monitor unbilled work orders to meet SLA.
  • Follow supply-chain processes for equipment ordering and logging.
  • Handle calls from Engineers, Customers and Colleagues; resolve issues.
  • Maintain customer job files with complete data in hard and electronic formats.

SALARY: Between £25K - £27K per annum (depending on experience)

What you'll be doing as Administrator

This role will see you assisting with the day to day running of the relevant department (Fire or Security Install, & Fire or Security Service) Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all transactions are logged accurately and in a timely manner and highlight any outstanding requirements
  • Input engineer timesheet information on a weekly basis in line with set timescales and processes.
  • Ordering of uniforms and personal protective equipment for Engineers, in line with relevant procedures.
  • Assist with the production of engineer routine maintenance lists, cancelled jobs, logs and report on progress as necessary.
  • Monitor unbilled work orders to meet SLA.
  • To follow supply-chain processes and help ensure equipment is ordered, delivered and logged as appropriate, and highlight any outstanding requirements.
  • To take calls from Engineers, Customers and Colleagues (as appropriate) and to assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns.
  • To maintain customer job files, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded (in hard and electronic format as appropriate), to ensure that full customer history and data is readily available.

Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week | Mon-Fri | 9am – 5pm | Fully Office Based

What we would like you to bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer service focused role, ideally from a service background

You will
  • Be passionate about the customer, working consistently to provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers.
  • Possess high levels of drive, motivation and commitment with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Have strong working IT Knowledge, and experience using the Microsoft Suite of products e.g. Word and Excel
  • Good people and communication skills, able to explain situations clearly, both verbally and written.
  • Works well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and helping out willingly when required
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
