Job summary

Brellis Recruitment is seeking a Health and Safety Administrator in Mansfield to support the QEHS team across the UK and Ireland. This varied administrative role focuses on keeping compliance, training and documentation running smoothly within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include managing the QEHS inbox, maintaining the management system, contractor RAMS, KPI reporting and training administration. A strong IT basis and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset are key.

Qualifications

  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office; SharePoint or Power BI desirable.
  • Data entry experience with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.
  • Customer-centric, proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Experience in administration and handling confidential records.
  • Ability to multi-task while supporting a busy QEHS team.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with interest in protecting people and the planet.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 would be advantageous.

Health and Safety Administrator

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire £26,436.80 - £28,000 DOE Permanent, Full Time

The Company

Our client is a well established international manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, supplying equipment and fitted solutions to a broad range of commercial and retail customers across the UK and Ireland. With a busy, fast paced site and a growing focus on sustainability and compliance, they are now looking for a Health and Safety Administrator to join their central quality, environmental, health and safety function.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of QEHS, this is a varied administrative role at the heart of the business, supporting the wider quality, environmental, health and safety team across the UK and Ireland. You will play a key part in keeping compliance, training and documentation running smoothly, working closely with colleagues at all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the QEHS team inbox and provide general administrative support, ensuring enquiries are assigned to the right advisor
  • Maintain the health, safety and environmental management system, including new starters, leavers, form updates and record keeping
  • Oversee the contractor management database, ensuring only approved contractors with correct RAMS and competence carry out work
  • Collate accurate QEHS data for KPI reporting, supporting the Head of QEHS with reporting to the board
  • Administer QEHS compliance training, organising refreshers and maintaining training records and certificates
  • Support ISO certification audits and maintain documentation, including the asset documentation register
  • Control storage of central QEHS documentation and policies, alerting the team when reviews are due
  • Complete pre-qualification questionnaires and maintain membership body accreditations
  • Support delivery of environmental, sustainability and emissions reporting
  • Manage third party support requirements including health surveillance programmes and testing
  • Take minutes at health and safety and other QEHS related meetings
  • Promote employee engagement through safety alerts, toolbox talks and bulletins
  • Manage insurance claims and support business continuity and recovery planning
  • Raise purchase orders and submit invoices, monitoring departmental expenditure
What We're Looking For

The Package
  • Salary of £26,436.80 to £28,000 depending on experience, full time, 40 hours per week
