Job summary

Veolia in Avonmouth is seeking an organized administrator to manage data entry, payroll details and supplier/invoice processing. You will liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and maintain high standards of service.

The role offers 40 hours per week, with a focus on accurate record-keeping, compliance with company policies and timely communication with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with relevant individuals to resolve customer queries; escalate when required to Management.
  • Drive and promote a culture of high performance and excellence in line with organisational values.
  • Log and address safety concerns in the Health and Safety Management System within set timescales.
  • Ensure Veolia policies, processes and procedures are followed.
  • Enter payroll and personnel details into systems accurately and timely.
  • Raise Purchase Orders for approved supplies by site management.
  • Procure goods by liaising with suppliers and meet delivery timescales.
  • Process supplier invoices to ensure timely payment terms.
  • Administer purchase orders, disposal invoices and related invoices.
  • Maintain daily paperwork and monthly rebate reporting to customers.
  • Answer phones within company expectations; provide timely updates to customers.
  • Run and send reports to customers, including Regional and high-value accounts.

£28,147.04 per annum, plus annual salary review (up to 3%) & Veolia benefits

What you'll be doing
  • Liaise with relevant individuals to ensure customer queries are resolved. Escalate when required to Management
  • Drive and promote a culture of high performance and excellence in line with our organisational values
  • Ensure that all safety concerns and near misses are logged on our Health and Safety Management System and closed off within the company's agreed timescales. Appropriate feedback must be provided to the originator
  • Ensure all Veolia policies, processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure personnel details including payroll are entered into the systems correctly and within time limits
  • Raise Purchase Orders for the supply of goods as approved by site management
  • Liaise with suppliers for the procurement of goods & ensure delivery timescales are met
  • Process invoices raised by suppliers to ensure that payment terms are met
  • Administer purchase orders, disposal invoices, subcontracted collections and associated invoices.
  • Control of paperwork on a daily basis including monthly rebate reporting to customers
  • Ensuring the answering of telephones are within the Company expectations
  • Run and send reports as required to customers, including any Regional Accounts and high value accounts
  • Proactively inform customers in a timely manner of any operational delays which impact on their service, confirming the alternative collection date and time
