The Oaks Care Home, part of the Hill Care Group, seeks an experienced Administrator to anchor the administrative and financial operations of the home. You will empower the team to deliver high-quality care through meticulous organisation, proactive planning, and compassionate support for residents and staff.

Role covers financial records, HR administration, office management, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with HR administration, payroll, or healthcare settings is advantageous.
  • Strong data handling and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Managing comprehensive financial records including banking, petty cash, sales and purchase ledgers, and payroll processes.
  • Providing essential HR administration and maintaining employee records with compliance checks.
  • Office management duties: filing, stationery, and support to Home Manager, including minute-taking and correspondence.
  • Welcoming residents and visitors, providing professional support and tours of the home as required.
  • Ensuring health and safety protocol adherence and maintaining strict confidentiality.

  • Managing comprehensive financial records, including banking, petty cash, and supporting sales, purchase ledger, and payroll processes.
  • Providing essential HR administration, maintaining employee records, and overseeing compliance checks for professional registrations and background clearances.
  • Delivering robust office management, from maintaining accurate filing systems and managing stationery to providing administrative support to the Home Manager, including minute-taking and correspondence.
  • Serving as the welcoming first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing professional support and conducting tours of the home as required.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and maintaining strict confidentiality across all aspects of the role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a keen aptitude for new systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in data handling, detailed reporting, and managing deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanour.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and equality of opportunity.
  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is essential.
  • Experience in HR administration, payroll, bookkeeping, or a healthcare setting, along with a business administration qualification, would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to manage financial and operational administrative tasks.
