Administrative Officer - Decision Enablement Services - Belfast

This is a temporary, 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, based in Belfast with a hybrid working model (60% office, 40% WFH). The hourly rate is £13.85.

Location & Working Hours

Location: Drumkeen House, 1 Drumkeen Complex, Upper Galwally, Belfast BT8 6TB

Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 7.24 hours per day, core hours 10:00-15:00, between 08:00 and 18:00. Working days must not start before 07:00 or end after 19:00.

Responsibilities
  • Support decision enablement services related to asylum interview processes, including case triaging, booking interviews, handling correspondence, checking paperwork, escorting applicants, and reporting.
  • Assist with end-to-end process of arranging interviews for asylum applicants, contributing to increased interview volume.
  • Support and ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Meet and greet face-to-face, requiring confidence and activity, as this role involves being on your feet for most of the day.
Training & Clearance

Four weeks of hybrid training for all roles except Meet and Greet, which requires full office-based health & safety training. Clearance level includes Basic DBS and CTC; SC clearance is acceptable.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold a valid UK passport and have resided in the UK for over 5 years; periods outside the UK exceeding 6 months in the last 5 years are not accepted.
  • Ability to use MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; good command of English; flexibility in roles and responsibilities.
