We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Officer to join our Children’s Social Care Team. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a busy working environment to support children, young people, and families in the area.

About the role

This is a part-time role, 30 hours per week (ideally 6 hours each day, Monday to Friday), on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will work in partnership with an enthusiastic social work management team, including an Assistant Director, Head of Service Managers, Principal Social Worker, Workforce Development Officer, and other Administrative staff.

We seek applicants with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly, patient, and confident approach with colleagues, professionals, and members of the public, to join our supportive and professional team.

You should demonstrate excellent IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems. An excellent typist capable of taking accurate minutes at complex meetings is essential.

It is also crucial that you are organized and flexible to meet the needs of a busy team. You should maintain an informed and professional manner when dealing with other professionals and young people, and handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with corporate and national guidelines.

You can expect
