Job summary

The University of the West of Scotland is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to join our Registry team at Paisley Campus. The role supports student records, enrolment, graduations, and international visa compliance, working within established procedures to process information from enrolment to graduation.

The post holder will provide a high level of service across campuses, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and customer-focused guidance within a busy office environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience producing and analysing reports, validating data, and solving problems.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive administrative experience in a busy office, with task prioritisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level service to students and staff across campuses for Registry functions including student records, enrolment support, graduations and visa compliance.
  • Work within defined procedures to process information for student progression from enrolment to graduation.

Salary: Grade 3 £25,804 - £27,319 per annum

Full time: 35 hours per week

Fixed Term: 12 months

Unfortunately, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship in line with Home Office requirements. Applicants will therefore be unable to secure a Skilled Worker visa for this role and will require an alternative source of right to work in the UK.

The post - Administrative Assistant

The University of West of Scotland is recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join our Registry team. Within this role the successful applicant will provide a high level of service to students and staff across all campuses in relation to Registry functions which include student records, enrolment support, graduations and international student visa compliance.

The post holder will proactively work within a set of defined procedures to efficiently process information required for the effective handling of student records and the progression of a student from enrolment to graduation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of service to students and staff across all campuses in relation to Registry functions which include student records, enrolment support, graduations and international student visa compliance.
  • Proactively work within a set of defined procedures to efficiently process information required for the effective handling of student records and the progression of a student from enrolment to graduation.
Qualifications
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration or a related discipline, or have relevant practical work experience.
  • Previous experience of producing and analysing reports, validating data, identifying problems, and seeking solutions.
  • A working knowledge of developing and managing communications with internal and external stake holders. This includes social media and internal and external website management.
  • Considerable administrative experience within a busy office environment, with experience of task management and prioritisation of work within a team environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, liaising with other departments or staff where necessary.
  • An understanding of working in customer focused environment, providing guidance and advice in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Experience of updating and maintaining records.
