Job summary

Burton Joyce Primary School in Nottingham is seeking a friendly, organised Admin Assistant to join our welcoming office team. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, pupils and families, helping with day-to-day admin and ensuring excellent customer service.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 35 hours per week, term-time only. You will support attendance, dinner bookings, trips, clubs and administrative tasks across the school, making a real difference.

Burton Joyce Primary School is seeking to appoint a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Admin Assistant to join our dedicated and welcoming office team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving village school at the heart of the community. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service to children, families and staff.

No two days are ever the same in our school office. From supporting pupils and parents to helping organise trips and events, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. If you enjoy variety, teamwork and making a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As one of the first points of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, you will be a valued member of our school community. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and monitoring pupil attendance records
  2. Administering school dinner bookings and payments
  3. Supporting the planning and organisation of educational visits and school trips
  4. Coordinating and administering our after-school clubs programme
  5. Providing efficient administrative support across the school
