NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million residents, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:30, and Fridays from 08:00-15:30, with alternate Fridays until 16:00.
The post involves managing administrative services related to healthcare delivery within HMP Low Moss, contributing to a safe environment for prisoners and staff, and leading the development and evaluation of administrative systems.
The successful candidate will develop and oversee administrative services, facilitate effective patient care through NHS systems, support operational management, and potentially travel to other establishments to support administrative teams.
This role requires maintaining support to staff, management, and clinicians, including creating rotas, setting objectives, and training staff. Leadership and management of administrative staff in the prison healthcare setting are key responsibilities.
Qualifications include a degree or HNC in Business Administration and/or Information Technology, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to operate at this level. Experience in managing staff within a large, multi-functional service and knowledge of General Practice Administration are also required.
