Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust is seeking a Team Administrator for the Wigan Admin Teams. This is a full-time 37.5 hour per week role on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Wigan.

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Referral and Assessment Team, including minutes, letters, filing, diary management and general tasks using Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
  • ECDL NVQ2/GCSE English A-C or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • NHS/healthcare experience preferred.
  • Audio Typing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential admin support to the Referral and Assessment Team.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Admin Teams for a Team Administrator.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel and Outlook and a broad range of administrative experience. You will be part of a team of administrators providingadmin cover to our service users, clinicians and other health professionals.

If you have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, this will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills.

Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.

Main duties of the job

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Referral and Assessment Team.

The post holder will provide an administrative function to the managers, minute taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management and other general administrative duties.

Person specification
Education / Qualifications
  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience.

Experience
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • Audio Typing experience Experience of working within the NHS or related healthcare experience Experience of dealing with members of the public.
