An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Admin Teams for a Team Administrator.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, and a broad range of administrative experience. You will be part of a team providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians, and other health professionals.

Main duties of the job

The Team Administrator will provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Therapies Hub within Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

The post holder will handle administrative functions for managers, including minute-taking at meetings, typing letters, filing, diary management, and other general administrative duties.

Person specification

Education / Qualifications

  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
  • ECDL, NVQ2 Business Administration, GCSE English grade A-C, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Audio Typing experience.
  • Experience within the NHS or related healthcare settings.
  • Experience dealing with members of the public.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Awareness of Recovery Model and guidelines related to children/vulnerable adults.

Skills & Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate and maintain manual and electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships in healthcare settings.
