Orders of St. John Care Trust is seeking an Administration Assistant at Wellford Gardens, Wheatley. You will support the Home Manager with reception, administrative and basic finance activities to keep daily operations running smoothly.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, ensure infection control compliance, and help coordinate testing, couriers and related tasks. You’ll also assist with planned events and maintain a friendly, professional environment for residents and staff.

Administration Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll support the Home Manager with a full range of reception, administrative and basic finance activities to ensure the Home runs smoothly. Often the first point of contact for enquiries, you’ll demonstrate a professional and welcoming manner to all those who visit, live and work in our homes. You will be responsible for ensuring that all our visitors follow the infection control rules in force at any given time, also taking the lead on coordinating any testing requirements, organising couriers and associated administrative tasks.
Our homes are fun, so you’ll also assist with the planning and management of events that take place in the home, including celebrating residents’ milestone birthdays, fetes, employee presentations or other activities planned by our Activities Coordinator.

Wellford Gardens is our first luxury new build incorporating all-inclusive in the comfort of luxurious surroundings. It will include en-suite bedrooms, fresh air ventilation, acoustic monitoring, landscaped gardens, private dining, hair and beauty facilities, cinema, lounge and sun terrace. The home is located just off the A40 on Park Hill in Wheatley. Wellford Gardens is a three-storey home with 65 bedrooms, offering residents round-the-clock residential and dementia care. The home design includes innovative new technologies including E-care and providing person centred care with many personalised options.

ABOUT YOU
You will have previous experience from an administrative or reception job and confident using Microsoft Office. In addition, you’ll have experience of handling cash and keeping reports up to date. Ideally you will have your Maths and English to GCSE level. But most importantly you will be c omfortable in an elderly care setting, able to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner.
This is a busy and varied role, so you’ll need to be efficient and organised and happy to use your initiative to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. And as the first person who many of our visitors will speak to or see, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
