Job summary

Ward Hadaway in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Administration Assistant to join the Real Estate department, supporting the secretarial team across Real Estate, Planning and Property Litigation.

You will handle document prep, meeting coordination, filing, AML documentation checks, stamp duty forms and Land Registry submissions, plus general admin to fee earners and the wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Real Estate secretarial team, including document preparation, formatting, printing, scanning, copy typing and binding.
  • Coordinate meetings, room bookings, diaries and appointments, and manage incoming and outgoing post and filing.
  • Open and close client matters and files, liaise with clients to obtain AML documentation and complete sanction checks.
  • Assist with finance-related administration, including preparing TT and accounts forms and processing expense claims for fee earners.
  • Support Real Estate transactions by ordering property searches and preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and Land Registry applications.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, document registers, transaction trackers and legal databases, including secure storage of deeds and documents.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to fee earners and the wider secretarial team, including preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations and assisting with ad hoc team initiatives.

A great opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our Real Estate department. We're looking for an experienced administrator to assist our secretarial team in providing support to our Real Estate, Planning, and Property Litigation teams based in Newcastle.

What will I be doing
