Attain Academy Partnership in Essex invites an administrative assistant to support reception, telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries at Elm Hall on a Friday, 5 hours per week.
You will issue visitor badges, sign for deliveries, provide hospitality, monitor the post and handle general clerical tasks using Word and Excel (SIMS knowledge is an advantage). The role requires independence, teamwork, good literacy and clear communication; safeguarding compliance and DBS checks apply.

To be a point of contact for both telephone, email and face to face enquiries and take messages and respond where appropriate.
To ensure school safeguarding and security arrangements are always complied with, including the issue of visitor's badges and signing of the visitors' book.
To accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate.
To provide hospitality for visitors to the school.
Calls to parents/carers at the request of teachers.
Trouble shooting problems/issues for parents.
To monitor the CCTV entry system.
To be responsible for the sending of outgoing post.
To provide general clerical support and typing / word processing as required.
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of Word, Excel (knowledge of SIMS is an advantage).
The candidate will be required to work independently as well as part of a team and be flexible. They will need to be self motivated and have the ability to prioritise. They will also need good literacy and communication skills. The successful candidate must be willing to train where necessary.
