Job summary

Primary Care Sheffield is seeking an Independent Assessor and Prescriber to join our ADHD service for 37.5 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference from the outset and play an important role in helping us develop and deliver the service.

You will be integrated as part of the primary care ADHD infrastructure, providing ADHD assessment, diagnosis and prescribing treatments, across the interface between primary care, voluntary sector and secondary services to improve

Qualifications

• Registration with a recognised UK professional body (NMC/GPhC/GMC) with Independent Prescriber annotation.
• Experience delivering ADHD services and working with adults.
• Knowledge of NICE ADHD guidance and local formulary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured ADHD assessments (history, impairment, comorbidity, risk).
• Provide feedback with written plans and follow-up reviews.
• Initiate/adjust medication with local formulary in collaboration with pharmacy.
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and records.
• Present complex cases at MDT and contribute to service development.
