Job summary

Primary Care Sheffield is seeking a nurse to join our ADHD service on a 15-hour-per-week basis. You will work with the ADHD clinical team, including GPs and other health professionals, delivering screening, assessment, treatment and follow-up.

The role requires NMC registration, experience with long-term conditions and neurodiverse patients, and a commitment to evidence-based practice within an NHS setting in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• NMC Registration required.
• Knowledge of ADHD and its management.
• Experience managing long-term conditions.
• Experience with neurodiverse patients.
• Experience in clinical assessment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review patient notes to determine ADHD needs and complexity.
• Recognise and elevate concerns related to safety or changes in condition.
• Undertake screening and checks: BP, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis, glucose, smoking.
• Undertake phlebotomy.
• Maintain competency in anaphylaxis and resuscitation.
• Promote health through education, screening and therapeutic communication.
• Refer to ADHD Liaison Officer and work with the ADHD team.
