Job summary

Siemens Energy in Worcester seeks a Project Engineer to define manufacturing methods for additive processes, ensure quality standards, and support NPI programs. You will collaborate with engineering teams, lead root-cause investigations, and drive continuous improvement while upholding health and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes APQP, DFMEA, control plans, and documentation of deviations, with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and processes to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with technical teams on new product development.
• Resolve manufacturing issues and support continuous improvement.
• Support APQP and development of components.
• Support NPI projects with cross-functional sessions and APQP activities (risk assessments, FMEA, control plan).
• Create and maintain quality plans and technical manufacturing instructions.
• Lead root cause investigations and document lessons learned.
• Maintain technical ownership of development/pre-serial/serial products and yield.
• Leverage NPI methodologies and deliver validation packages to customers.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Interpret customer specs/drawings and flow-down to manufacturing.
• Use problem-solving tools like 3C and 8D.
• Fluent in English and able to follow instructions.
• Methodical, self-motivated, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Work well in team and independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume production and development programs.
