Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol, offers a 12.5‑month undergraduate internship starting 16 August 2027 in Additive Manufacturing Design & Integration. You will design and manufacture metallic parts using AM, with exposure to drawing creation, build files, and process documentation.

This placement is open to undergraduates only; please include a CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation. You will join Airbus AM communities and work on current aircraft programmes in a hands-on,

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
• CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability are required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Interest in Additive Manufacturing is a plus.
• Willingness to work in a technical team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and manufacture metallic parts using AM technology in Filton, Bristol.
• Develop skills within Airbus AM community across design and manufacturing.
• Contribute to structural components and systems projects within the AM scope.
• Create drawings, build files, and document processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver parts on time.
