Job summary

Castle Education is recruiting High Needs Learning Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools, supporting pupils with special educational needs and complex learning needs.

This role offers ad-hoc, part-time and full-time opportunities with typical hours 8:30am – 3:30pm and weekly pay, plus free training and CPD opportunities.

No evenings or weekends and flexible work to support your work-life balance.

High Needs Learning Support Assistant
£14.24 – £16.00 per hour | Primary & Secondary | Flexible Supply Work

We are recruiting High Needs Learning Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and complex learning needs.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity, with ad-hoc, part-time and full-time work available.

The Role

You could be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, within small groups or as part of a wider classroom team, depending on the needs of the school.

• Supporting pupils with additional and complex learning needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils access and engage with learning
• Supporting communication, independence and confidence
• Adapting activities to meet individual needs
• Providing consistent encouragement and reassurance
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff
• Supporting pupils across different Key Stages where required

You may have the flexibility to work with different age groups, although you will generally be based within one class or setting, allowing you to build strong, consistent relationships with the pupils you support.
