Job Advert Role Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Addictions Therapist with experience of delivering group therapy to join our team of therapists supporting our Addiction Treatment Programme in our private mental health setting.
About Life Works:
Located in Woking, Surrey, Life Works is a highly respected private rehabilitation centre with a unique therapeutic environment, leading in addiction and eating disorder treatment. We treat up to 18 low-risk private patients in a Georgian house surrounded by gardens. Easily accessible from the A3, M25, and Woking Train station. As part of the Priory group, staff benefit from various benefits and training, including excellent CPD opportunities.

The Role:
The ideal candidate should be an accredited therapist or due to be accredited within a year (such as HCPC/BACP/UKCP) with experience in eating disorders.
Must have experience working as a therapist with addictions, Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent, and experience facilitating Group therapy. Knowledge of the 12-step Minnesota model of addiction, relapse prevention workshops, and psychoeducational topics is required. Experience with DBT and Motivational Interviewing is desirable.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with low-risk, privately funded clients with eating disorders and addictions. Responsibilities include delivering group and individual therapy for clients in inpatient and day treatment programs, ward rounds, support groups, and outpatient therapy.
