Job Advert Location Description

An opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified and accredited Addictions Therapist with experience of delivering group therapy to join our team supporting our Addiction Treatment Programmes in a private acute mental health setting.

We offer intensive, abstinence-based programmes with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support.

The successful candidate will have experience in the field, be familiar with abstinence-based treatment principles, especially the 12-step informed approach, and hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling or a relevant professional qualification in addictions. Full BACP accreditation is required.

This full-time role involves facilitating specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, conducting individual sessions, and completing assessments and treatment plans for patients referred to our addictions service.

Our service is supported by a friendly multidisciplinary team, with regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals. Good communication skills and flexibility are essential.

Applications from those working towards BACP accreditation within the next 6-12 months will be considered, with a revised salary banding of £27,810-£36,050 pro rata, depending on experience, until full accreditation is achieved.

Please note, the successful candidate should be available to work Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with occasional rotational Saturday shifts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located near London in Hayes, Kent. It provides care for various mental health issues, including acute conditions, addiction, and eating disorders. The hospital is accessible by excellent transport links and has local parking facilities.
