Job summary

Biogen (UK) Ltd is seeking a Plant Operator to assist in the safe operation of an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant in Llwydcoed, Aberdare. The role involves hands-on duties with intake, sorting, and loading of food waste, plus on-site checks and maintenance as part of a dedicated team.

The successful candidate should have a positive HSE attitude, and may require driving licence; telemetry/telehandler certificates are a plus but training is provided. 40-hour week, with overtime on approved basis.

Qualifications

• Follow health and safety and environmental regulations; maintain high housekeeping standards on site.
• Biogen will provide training and development required for the role.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards Health and Safety and regulatory bodies (HSE, Environment Agency).
• Ideally some relevant experience from a related industry and a driving licence; telehandler certificate advantageous but training provided.
• Role operates Monday to Friday with weekend rota on occasions; overtime paid for approved extra hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe operation of the AD plant.
• Hands-on role supporting intake, sorting and loading of food waste on site.
• Support routine checks and maintenance activities.
• Work as part of a site-wide team to run the AD facility.
