Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Melton Mowbray is seeking a hands-on Operations Technician to work on the Anaerobic Digester & Packaging plant. You will operate machinery, manage feedstock, assist with maintenance, and handle administration and site upkeep.

Responsibilities include starting and stopping the plant safely, loading materials, maintaining records, coordinating deliveries, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental policies are followed; weekend on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring safe operation of AD/Packaging plant.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain records.
• Team-based work with adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of the plant during steady state, start up, shutdown and emergencies.
• Safe loading/feeding of products into the digester.
• Support the team to achieve operational targets.
• Ensure day to day compliance with Environmental Permit and report incidents to Head of Technical.
• Collect and record plant data during operations and inspections.
• Respond to routine maintenance needs within capability.
• Maintain Feed Store and Raw Materials for AD Plant; order products per procedures.
• Coordinate deliveries to site and liaise with suppliers.
• Operate farm machinery and standard maintenance tasks.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of AD/Packaging areas; contribute to safety culture.
• Participate in on-call rota and 1 in 3 weekend shifts.
