Job summary

Arla Lockerbie is seeking a mechanically biased maintenance engineer on shift to safeguard the AD Plant and utilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations. You will conduct planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults on pumps, motors and conveyors, and contribute to continuous improvement with ownership and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

Recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
Mechanical bias is valuable; multi-skilled experience beneficial.
Experience maintaining industrial equipment (pumps, motors, conveyors, rotating machinery or utilities).

Responsibilities

Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the AD Plant and utilities.
Diagnose faults and repair pumps, motors and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
Support plant reliability through structured problem solving and RCA.
Complete maintenance including welding and component refurbishment with high safety standards.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimise performance and ensure compliance.
