Job summary

Arla Foods Limited in Lockerbie is seeking a mechanically biased M&E Technician to independently manage maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and drive improvements for the AD Plant and utilities. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, optimise plant reliability, and ensure safe operations on site.

Qualifications include an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience; a mechanical bias is highly valued. Experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, and rotating machinery is ideal.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in maintenance engineering.
• Mechanical bias is highly valued; multi-skilled experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned, preventive and reactive maintenance across the AD Plant and utilities.
• Diagnose faults and repair pumps, motors, and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
• Support reliability through root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Complete maintenance including welding, component replacement and refurbishment with high safety standards.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimise performance and comply with regulations.
