Job summary

Lextox is a UKAS accredited laboratory based in Cardiff, providingdrug, alcohol and DNA testing services for family law cases and childcare proceedings.

We have a vacancy for a Sample Collector / Phlebotomist to join our Sample Collections team within the South Devon, Cornwall and surrounding areas, covering Exeter, Plymouth, Newton Abbott, Torquay, Launceston, Bude, Bideford, Barnstaple, Bridgwater, Taunton and Yeovil on an AD HOC/casual basis.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and language skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and must have own access to a vehicle with business insurance.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Phlebotomy post qualification.
• Experience in NHS/Blood Service.
• Experience in collecting hair and DNA samples with in-house training provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-booked appointments at various locations in and around the South Devon area (up to a 2 hour radius).
• Provide a professional hair, blood and DNA sample collection service.
• Maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients and donors as the public face of Lextox.
• Implement the requirements of the company Quality Management System and maintain ISO17025 accreditation.
• Ensure all collections are undertaken safely, healthily and with minimal risk.
• Provide statements of truth at point of collection.
