Job summary

NHS Forth Valley’s acute stroke unit is seeking a Band 5 registered nurse to contribute to 24-hour stroke assessment and ongoing care in a 23-bed unit. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, liaise with AAU and ED, and participate in stroke CPD to support patient care and pathway improvements.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and current practicing status.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to develop skills in acute stroke care and associated protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and deliver and supervise care needs on a stroke unit.
• Work within a multidisciplinary stroke team and coordinate with AAU and ED as required.
• Participate in and complete core stroke competencies and ongoing CPD.
