Job summary

NHS Grampian in Aberdeen is seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Acute Adult SLT Team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The post offers rotation across acute medicine and stroke care with a focus on person-centred care.

You will assess and manage adults with speech, language and swallowing difficulties, work with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service development and learning, and have opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCOT).
• Post-registration dysphagia training completed.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and team-working skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage adults with acquired speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centred care and outcomes.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in learning, development and governance activities.
