Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board invites applications for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology. Based at Withybush Hospital, Pembrokeshire, the role spans across Aberystwyth and Carmarthenshire sites, with occasional duties on the Cancer Treatment Triage Line.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse level 1
• Current NMC registration
• Masters degree or equivalent experience
• Specialist qualifications
• Expert level of knowledge in clinical speciality
• Knowledge of service improvement
• Able to undertake a literature search and critically appraise research papers

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously and manage own workload.
• Provide specialist education and training to staff.
• Support care of inpatients requiring specialist oncology advice during admissions.
• Occasional shifts to support the Cancer Treatment Triage Line (7 days, includes weekends)
