University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a Gynae-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist (Band 6) for a 12 month secondment at Poole Hospital. The post supports the CNS team across Poole and Bournemouth to develop a UHD Gynae-Oncology CNS service and improve patient pathways.

The role delivers high-quality, patient-centred care for those with or at risk of gynaecological cancers, requiring motivation, organisation, and excellent communication. NMC registration is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in nursing and ongoing development related to cancer care.
• Knowledge of gynaecological cancers and oncology care.
• Experience with SACT treatments and side effects.
• Significant post-registration experience in cancer care or related area.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high quality patient centred assessments and symptom management.
• Provide telephone triage and safety net advice to patients.
• Collaborate with Gynae-Oncology MDT and other care teams.
• Manage caseloads and support patients through decision making.
