Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a committed professional for the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit. The post holder will deliver hands-on care under indirect supervision and gain proficiency in all areas of same-day emergency care within a modern Ambulatory Care Centre.

The role focuses on providing timely, patient-centered care with admissions avoided through efficient same-day services and coordination with A&E, GP and other wards. Weekend work is part of extended opening hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to formulate and verbalise views.
• Able to anticipate and forward plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective patient care in a range of clinical settings, using own clinical judgement to make decisions and advocate for patients.
• Work shift patterns including weekends.
