Job summary

AIG is seeking an Actuary to join the Risk Management team, offering exposure to pricing and reserving across main commercial lines. The role supports the Independent Review function and interacts with boards and risk committees.

You will work closely with pricing actuaries, model review teams and other departments to challenge assumptions and strengthen governance. A degree in Mathematics is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics or related discipline is required.
• Significant actuarial or risk-management experience in P&C or consulting is expected.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the insurance market are essential.
• Ability to communicate complex matters clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in independent review of selected policyholder liabilities.
• Review data quality for claims and premium data in property & casualty lines.
• Build reserving models and design tests to challenge model assumptions.
• Support documentation for governance bodies, including Risk and Audit Committees.
• Collaborate with pricing actuaries and modelers during reviews.
• Help identify high-risk models requiring ERM review.
