Job summary

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) in London seeks an Actuary in Risk Management to gain exposure to pricing and reserving across major commercial lines. The role supports independent review of policyholder liabilities and model governance across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work with pricing actuaries, build reserving models, and present findings to Enterprise Risk Management leadership and other stakeholders, contributing to robust risk management practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
• Significant actuarial and/or risk management experience.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of risk drivers.
• Ability to communicate complex matters clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in independent review of selected policyholder liabilities and reserves.
• Review claims and premium data quality for property and casualty lines.
• Build benchmark reserving models and design statistical tests to review model assumptions.
• Prepare reports on results of independent review for governance committees.
