Job summary

Willis Re seeks a nearly or newly qualified actuary to lead the development of actuarial analytics, combining coding, automation and data-driven insights across Property, Marine, Specialty, Aviation and Cyber. You will design and deliver analytical tools that improve pricing, portfolio management and decision-making, collaborating with brokers and stakeholders to drive real business impact.

Qualifications

  • Nearly or newly qualified actuary (FIA, ACAS, FCAS or equivalent).
  • Experience in general insurance, reinsurance, specialty insurance or broking analytics.
  • Strong programming capability in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building tools or analytics apps for business stakeholders.
  • Know-how of pricing and portfolio analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing, exposure and portfolio analytics tools used across treaty reinsurance.
  • Build predictive models, automated reporting solutions and analytical frameworks to support brokers and clients.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques with robust validation and governance.
  • Collaborate with brokers and analytics teams to identify opportunities for new tools and improvements.
  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance analytical workflows and drive efficiency.
  • Maintain testing, documentation, version control and model governance.
  • Support peer reviews and mentor junior colleagues.
