A leading company in the UK’s long-term savings and retirement sector is seeking a Project Actuary to join their Actuarial Reporting Projects team. This role involves driving key projects and delivering actuarial insights to transform processes. Location: This role could be based in either our Wythall or Edinburgh offices with hybrid working, spending 50% of time working in the office.

The role
This is an excellent opportunity for an actuary looking to develop their career at Phoenix. This role is integral to the Finance Transformation, Data & Systems area, where you will be responsible for driving and delivering key projects and initiatives that transform Phoenix’s actuarial processes.
You will be part of the Actuarial Reporting Projects team responsible for delivering projects to help the Group meet strategic objectives and deliver desired outcomes for our policyholders & shareholders. There are various roles available in the team, focussed on the different parts of the actuarial reporting lifecycle: Assets, Customer Data, Actuarial Modelling, Balance Sheet, Capital Production, Downstream Reporting. We are keen to understand your area of expertise and will look to match your skillset to the appropriate area in our team.
Within your project(s), you will provide actuarial insight and technical expertise to support the implementation of key changes for the business. As appropriate you will use your actuarial knowledge to ensure that what we deliver into BAU meets the requirements of the business.
You will be expected to work with colleagues across the department to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget. Collaboration and stakeholder management are key to our success at Phoenix.
