Job Description

1. Job Type: Permanent
2. Location: This role could be based in either our Wythall or Edinburgh offices with hybrid working, spending 50% of time working in the office.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Phoenix Group as a Project Actuary within the Actuarial Reporting Projects team. This role is key to our Finance Transformation, Data & Systems initiatives, focusing on transforming actuarial processes.

As part of the team, you will deliver projects aligned with strategic objectives, covering areas like Assets, Customer Data, Actuarial Modelling, Balance Sheet, Capital Production, and Downstream Reporting. We aim to match your expertise to the relevant team focus.

You will provide actuarial insights and technical expertise, ensuring project outputs meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Collaboration and stakeholder management are essential skills.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in an actuarial team, either in reporting or change management. Qualified Actuary or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in at least one of the following: Assets, Actuarial Data, Actuarial Models, Capital Modelling, Solvency II, IFRS17.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
