Ageas UK is seeking an Actuarial Manager on a fixed-term contract to strengthen Capital Modelling and the UK Internal Model Major Change program. You will validate market and default risk models and provide technical guidance across teams.

The role emphasises independence, robust governance and clear reporting to senior stakeholders. Flexible working within the UK is available.

Qualifications

• Experience within a capital modelling function.
• Strong understanding of Solvency II and Internal Models.
• Proven ability to help other team members in delivering goals.
• Significant experience in one or more of Internal Model Major Change or validation activities.
• Experience producing technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Title: Actuarial Manager

Target Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until the end of 2027

Salary Range: c£95,000 Dependent on Experience

Location: Flexible

Actuarial Manager: We are seeking an experienced capital modelling professional to join our Capital Modelling team on a fixed-term basis. You will play a key role in the independent validation of market and default risk models developed by Ageas Group and support the delivery of a UK Internal Model Major Change. This is a high-profile opportunity to contribute to strategically important work within an established Solvency II Internal Model environment.

Working closely with colleagues across Capital Modelling, Risk, Investments and Finance, you will help ensure that the Internal Model remains robust, well governed and fit for purpose. While this is not a people management role, you will be expected to provide technical guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.

Main Responsibilities as Actuarial Manager
