Deloitte offers a Summer Vacation Scheme in Actuarial Insurance for students in the UK. You’ll gain hands-on experience in actuarial modelling, data analytics, and regulatory reporting across life and general insurance, while developing consulting skills and exposure to client projects.

Qualifications

University student in penultimate year or progressing to a master's, with predicted 2:1 or above in maths or finance-related degree.
A-level Maths encouraged but not essential.
No prior experience required; interest in the insurance industry recommended.
Duration of programme: 6 Weeks.

Responsibilities

Learn actuarial modelling, data analytics, and regulatory reporting across life and general insurance.
Analyse client data and draft reports/slide decks to present findings.
Research and due diligence around demographic and financial assumptions.
Estimate, review and validate insurance liabilities and capital numbers for audits.
Assess future insurance liabilities for premiums, profitability and reporting.
Advise on capital levels and help embed new solutions in client processes.
