Job summary

AXIS Capital in London is seeking an Actuarial Engineer to join the Reinsurance and Enterprise Risk, Pricing & Modelling Systems team. You will help evolve AXIS’ next-generation pricing, modelling and exposure management systems, collaborating with actuaries and IT across time zones.

The role requires a university degree in a highly analytical field, 3+ years in actuarial/modelling/software, and strong C# and OO programming skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a highly analytical field (Maths, Science, Engineering or Actuarial Science)
3+ years’ experience in actuarial/modelling/software development
Strong proficiency in a .NET language, especially C#
Solid object-oriented programming skills
Understanding of performance and scalability considerations

Responsibilities

Implement actuarial methodologies and modelling algorithms
Enhance, maintain, and support existing modelling applications
Collaborate with actuaries, exposure managers and IT across time zones
Provide training and support to business users
Support end-to-end testing and business analysis
Contribute to documentation of implementations
