Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking an Actuarial Engineer for its London office to lead pricing and exposure management development within a global team of actuarial and IT professionals. You will implement methodologies, develop modelling applications, and collaborate with actuaries and exposure managers to enhance AXIS’ pricing systems.

We welcome applicants with 3+ years in actuarial/modelling/software development, strong C# and OOP skills, and a keen eye for performance and data analytics.

Qualifications

• University degree in a highly analytical field (e.g., Mathematics, Natural Science, Engineering or Actuarial Science)
• Strong interest in (Re-)Insurance, actuarial science, modelling, exposure management and data analytics
• 3+ years’ experience in actuarial/modelling/software development
• Proficiency in a .NET language, C# preferred
• Solid object-oriented programming skills and understanding of performance and scalability

Responsibilities

• Lead development of applications for pricing and exposure management
• Implement actuarial methodologies and modelling algorithms
• Enhance and support existing modelling applications with stakeholders across IT and business
• Provide training and support to business users
• Document implementations clearly and maintain end-to-end testing and analysis
