Job summary

Aon invites students to join its Actuarial Consulting Pensions – Industrial Placement Programme 2027 (Regional) in Birmingham. The year-long placement develops practical actuarial and advisory skills through on‑the‑job learning, with AI-enabled tools and global delivery support to focus on judgement and communication.

You will work across pension schemes, learning funding positions, risk management and client advisory processes, with exposure to both trustees and sponsoring companies.

Qualifications

• On track for a 2:1 in a maths or actuarial science degree.
• A-level Maths with strong mathematics background.
• Practical skills in Python, SQL, VBA or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist actuarial consultants with models for pension schemes.
• Support data reconciliation, valuation projections and reporting.
• Draft analyses and summaries for client meetings.
