The Actuarial Analytics team is seeking an enthusiastic Actuarial Analyst to expand and strengthen their team by providing prompt, accurate, and impactful insights and pricing analysis to key external clients and internal stakeholders across all business units.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain bespoke actuarial pricing models and analytical frameworks (often with limited data) across Marine and non-Marine lines.
  • Communicate insights from analysis to:
  • enhance stakeholder understanding of risk profiles,
  • structure and price optimal risk transfer solutions,
  • support brokers in negotiating market terms,
  • identify opportunities to design and sell innovative products, alternative marketing approaches, or new services to clients, thereby enhancing Miller’s value proposition.
  • Process, analyze, and interpret data from internal and external sources to present analyses and reports to stakeholders.
  • Refine existing pricing methods and data analysis using software and coding to increase efficiency and automate recurring tasks.
  • Establish trusting relationships with stakeholders and communicate modelling processes, results, and significance both verbally and through formal reports and presentations.

Qualifications

Working towards IFOA Actuarial Fellowship qualification, with 5-8 exams remaining.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years insurance market experience.
