Your companyOur client, a Lloyd’s international Insurance broker, based in the heart of the City of London, is looking for a Marine Claims Broker (on a 12-month FTC) to join their business. Salary is very competitive, and you will be working for a reputable brand within the Insurance industry offering a relaxed hybrid working structure.
Your new roleIn this role, you will process all Marine claims across Hull & Machinery, Liability, and P&I claims, from initial contact to final settlement. You will work closely with underwriters, participate in meetings, and broking to underwriting teams.
You will liaise with surveyors, lawyers, and other professionals, and serve as the main contact with clients. Additionally, you will prepare Claims statistics and maintain accurate accounting records.
What you'll need to succeedCandidates should have experience and knowledge of the Marine line of business (specifically Marine Hull & Machinery, Liability, and P&I) and familiarity with the ECF settlement system.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong administrative abilities, are essential. This role is ideal for a confident, ambitious, motivated individual who can multitask and stay organized. An understanding of FCA regulations relevant to clients is also required.
