Job summary

Merlin's London Dungeon is hiring a flexible Actor to bring to life the stories of London's darkest past. You’ll learn scripts quickly, perform with strong vocal presence, and adapt to director directions in a fast-paced, entertaining show.

This on-site, weekend and bank-holiday roster requires stamina and a love of live performance. Successful candidates will join a long-running attraction that welcomes thousands of international guests each year.

• Must be 18 or older.
• Outstanding at performing scripts and character acting.
• Knowledge of voice control and taking direction to deliver high standard shows.

OI PEASANTS…WE’RE RECRUITING! Ever fancied being part of the scariest and funniest journey through London's darkest past as an Actor? With spectacular sets and costumes to match, we pride ourselves on giving our guests a truly memorable experience and it’s our Actors who really bring The London Dungeon to life!

There's a variety of characters to sink your teeth into, one day you could be ridding the city streets of the plague and the next tearing out a traitor’s tongue for betraying the King. So, your ability to learn scripts quickly and deliver strong strict performances will be paramount, as well as displaying high stamina and strong vocal ability.

Our Trainers work hard to make sure that our cast are consistently delivering freakishly high standard shows, so we’ll need you to adopt any directions given.

Flexibility is important as our attractions are open daily and you’ll be needed to work weekends, bank holidays and peak holiday seasons on a roster basis. For this reason, we advise that only candidates that are prepared to work exclusively for us during this period, should apply at this time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Due to the nature of this role we can only accept applications from candidates 18 and over
• Someone who is outstanding at performing scripts and character acting
• Knowledge of voice control and taking direction to deliver consistently high standard shows
• Performance skills that could be utilised to create memorable experiences for our guests
