Job summary

Merlin is seeking an actor for London Dungeons, offering an 8-month contract with a guaranteed minimum of 25 hours per week. The role requires learning scripts quickly and delivering strong, highly-energetic performances across five days, including weekends and holidays.

You’ll perform in dynamic sets, with flexible scheduling during peak periods and a strong emphasis on vocal control and audience engagement. Training supports delivering high-standard shows nightly.

What you'll bring to the team

Actor - 5 Days per week

Location: London Dungeons

Contract: 25-hour contract, candidates must be available to work across all days of the week, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts scheduled across 5 days.

There's a variety of characters to sink your teeth into, one day you could be ridding the city streets of the plague and the next tearing out a traitor’s tongue for betraying the King. So, your ability to learn scripts quickly and deliver strong strict performances will be paramount, as well as displaying high stamina and strong vocal ability.

Our Trainers work hard to make sure that our cast are consistently delivering freakishly high standard shows, so we’ll need you to adopt any directions given.

Flexibility is important as our attractions are open daily and you’ll be needed to work weekends, bank holidays and peak holiday seasons on a roster basis. For this reason, we advise that only candidates who can offer full availability and are prepared to work exclusively for us during this period, should apply at this time.

This is an 8-month contract with a guaranteed minimum of 25 hours per week. You’ll work across 5 days, and we’re looking for candidates who can offer full flexibility - especially during our peak periods, when additional hours may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Due to the nature of this role we can only accept applications from candidates 18 and over
• Flexible availability and able to work across 5 days per week
• Someone who is outstanding at performing scripts and character acting
• Knowledge of voice control and taking direction to deliver consistently high standard shows
• Performance skills that could be utilised to create memorable experiences for our guests
