Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is sourcing a dedicated Support Worker for a specialist SEN provision in Acton. You will support children and young people aged 8-16 with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other learning needs in a structured environment.

The role involves one-to-one and small group work, promoting emotional regulation, communication and social interaction while collaborating with teachers, therapists and carers. Flexibility and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or SEMH needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN including ASD, ADHD and autism.
  • Support students with emotional regulation, communication and social interaction.
  • Assist students both inside and outside of the classroom to encourage engagement and participation.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques where required.
  • Support teachers and SEN staff with classroom activities and differentiated learning.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students to promote confidence, wellbeing and independence.
  • Monitor student progress, behaviour and wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
  • Support safeguarding procedures and follow all school policies and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, pastoral staff and parents/carers.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
