Job summary

Kirklees Council is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our lunchtime team, working with pupils during the school day to maintain a calm, safe and enjoyable dining and break-time environment.

This role focuses on supporting children with a visual impairment and requires good verbal communication with children and staff, plus the ability to organise activities and supervise pupils across diverse backgrounds.

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime on school premises.

• Relate to children/young people from diverse backgrounds and communicate clearly with staff.

Job description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and efficient Lunchtime Supervisor to join our highly effective and hardworking lunchtime team. This role will be
to work specifically with children with a visual impairment.

You will be required to supervise the pupils remaining on the school premises at lunchtime. We require someone who is willing to organise and take part in activities whilst providing a safe and happy environment for all our pupils.

The ability to relate to children/young people from diverse backgrounds is essential for this job, as well as having good verbal communication skills in order to liaise with children/young people and other staff members.
