Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an energetic Activity Leader for Park Hill Juniors School in Croydon. The role is part-time, with split shifts across mornings and late afternoons, and involves delivering fun, age-appropriate activities for children aged 4–11.

You’ll supervise, assist with snacks, and help create a safe, inclusive, and lively environment, with opportunities to increase hours during holidays.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children and create fun, safe activities.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a friendly approach.
• Creative thinker who can turn ordinary afternoons into memorable experiences.
• Team player who can lead activities when required.
• Experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities such as multi-sports, arts & crafts, games, and imaginative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep spaces safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out with a friendly, attentive approach.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm to suit part-time hours.
• Be a team player and take the lead when needed.

Operational Hours:Monday - Friday 07:30 - 09:00 &15:30 - 18:00
Hours:20 hours a week

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

What we’re looking for:

• Bonus points if you have experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work (but not essential, personality goes a long way!)
