Job summary

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full‑time Activity Coordinator for Clover Ward, an acute mental health unit at Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford. You will join a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver meaningful activities, supporting recovery and transition from hospital to home.

The role emphasizes collaboration with occupational therapy and the wider team, providing 7‑day services with 12‑hour shifts.

  • In this role, you will support the Occupational Therapy team to plan, facilitate and deliver meaningful therapeutic activities both one‑to‑one and in groups.
  • Your work will help promote recovery, social inclusion and positive patient experiences within a busy acute ward environment.
  • As an activity co‑ordinator you will work within the occupational therapy team structure to assist in the delivery of meaningful activity on the ward and within the local community, and support recovery and transition from hospital to home.
  • You will work collaboratively with the wider multi‑disciplinary team both on the ward and in the community and be involved in service development.
  • The provision incorporates a 7‑day service with shift working to enhance the therapeutic offer for service users and the successful applicant will complete 12‑hour shifts.

An exciting 12‑month opportunity has arisen for a full‑time Activity Coordinator to join our well‑established multidisciplinary team on Clover Ward, an acute mental health ward based at Lynfield Mount Hospital.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Occupational Therapy team to plan, facilitate and deliver meaningful therapeutic activities both one‑to‑one and in groups. Your work will help promote recovery, social inclusion and positive patient experiences within a busy acute ward environment.

As an activity co‑ordinator you will work within the occupational therapy team structure to assist in the delivery of meaningful activity on the ward and within the local community, and support recovery and transition from hospital to home. You will work collaboratively with the wider multi‑disciplinary team both on the ward and in the community and be involved in service development.

We are seeking an innovative individual, able to work collaboratively with service users and staff, and integrate well into the multidisciplinary team on the ward. The provision incorporates a 7‑day service with shift working to enhance the therapeutic offer for service users and the successful applicant will complete 12‑hour shifts.
